Omron E3F-DS10C4 is a diffuse-mode photoelectric sensor with a 100 mm detection range in the 18 mm barrel format. It runs on 12-24 VDC, draws 8-15 mA, and gives you an NPN open-collector output that can be wired normally open or normally closed. The 2 m PVC cable keeps termination straightforward on the van or at the panel; IP54 down to IP67 means it handles washdown zones but isn't rated for submersion.
Drop-in reality vs the E3ZM-LS81H 2M
If you're coming from an E3ZM-LS81H 2M, this isn't a straight swap. The E3ZM uses an M8 4-pin connector; the E3F-DS10C4 has a molded 2 m cable. Mounting is different too — the E3ZM is a compact cuboid, the E3F is an 18 mm threaded barrel (60 mm body). Electrically, the E3ZM's open collector is not labeled NPN (it could be PNP), so you might need to rewire the load side. The sensing range overlaps (10–100 mm on the E3ZM), but the E3F is fixed at 100 mm. No going back without changing the bracket and the cable gland.
