The E3FA-DP122M: M18 threaded diffuse sensor with PNP output and a 300 mm sensing distance. The IP69K rating means it takes the caustic CIP washdowns common in a brewery. Response time sits at 0.5 msec, fast enough for high-speed canning lines. Red LED emission, selectable light-on/dark-on switching, and indicator lights make commissioning straightforward. Reverse polarity and short circuit protection on the output and power supply reduce field failures.

Mounting and wiring notes
Mount through an 18 mm hole; the right-angle face orients the lens for side-looking detection. The plastic body withstands washdown but avoid overtightening the mounting nut. The 2 m prewired cable has bare ends — terminate in a junction box rated for the same environmental seal. Supply 10–30 V DC, output is PNP sourcing, max load 100 mA. Select light-on or dark-on via the single wire (typically white); indicator lights give immediate feedback during setup.
