Sensor for transparent objects on a metal M18 barrel
E3FB-BP22 is a compact retro-reflective sensor in a threaded cylindrical M18 nickel-plated brass housing, emitting a red LED beam radially. Its 2 m sensing distance suits conveyor or packaging lines detecting clear PET, glass, or film. PNP output switches at 10–30 VDC, with L-ON/D-ON selection via wire assignment. Connection is through an M12 4-pin connector, common on modern I/O blocks.
Not interchangeable with through-beam siblings
The E3FB series includes through-beam pairs (e.g., E3FB-TP112M, E3FB-TP21) that use separate emitter and receiver for 20 m range. Those are fundamentally different sensing arrangements — not a retrofit drop-in for this retro-reflective unit. If your application calls for a barrier-style beam, order one of the through-beam variants; for single-housing retro-reflective with a reflector, the E3FB-BP22 is the correct fit.
