Omron E3FB-DN21: an M18-threaded brass diffuse photoelectric sensor, NPN output, 4-pin M12 connector. Runs on 10-30V DC, switches up to 100 mA, detects opaque objects down to 7 mm at up to 100 mm. Response time 0.5 ms, selectable light-on/dark-on. IP67/IP69K rated – tough enough for washdown zones. Built-in output reverse polarity, short circuit, and supply reverse polarity protection. That means fewer dead sensors on the line – value’s in the sort.
Sibling play: E3FB-DN21 vs E3FB-DN23
E3FB-DN23 is the same sensor with one big difference: sensing distance jumps to 1 m instead of 100 mm. Same M18 brass body, same NPN output, same M12 connector, same IP rating. If your lot needs longer range, grab the DN23 and drop it in the same hole – wiring and mounting identical.
