What it is and what it does
The Omron E3FBRP21OMI is a retro-reflective photoelectric sensor from the E3FB series. It emits a red LED beam and detects objects that break the path to a reflector, giving a 4 m sensing range. The PNP output switches up to 100 mA, and the response time is 500 μs, fast enough for most conveyor and packaging applications. The M12 4-pin connector mates to standard cordsets, and the IP67/IP69K ratings mean it handles washdown environments without a secondary housing.
