The Omron E3JK-DR12-C is a power-supply photoelectric sensor in a shielded M30 cylindrical housing. It detects objects at a fixed 15 mm sensing distance, with a 20 ms maximum response time — fast enough for part-present detection on moderate-speed conveyor lines or packaging machinery, but not for high-speed counting or small-parts ejection where sub-millisecond response is needed.
Sensing and ambient light tolerance
The receiver side tolerates ambient incandescent light up to 3,000 lx and sunlight up to 11,000 lx max. That means the sensor holds detection reliably under factory lighting or near windows, but direct sunlight glare at the receiver aperture can still cause false triggers — mount with the receiver face shaded if the line runs near an unshaded skylight or exterior door.
