The Omron E3JM-DS70M4T-G is a diffuse-reflective photoelectric sensor that uses an infrared LED (950 nm) to detect objects up to 700 mm away (white paper 200×200 mm reference target). Its relay output switches loads up to 3 A, making it suitable for direct control of contactors, solenoids, or indicator lamps without an intermediate interface.
The 700 mm sensing distance is specified against a white paper target; real-world range will be shorter for dark or non-reflective objects. The infrared LED (950 nm) is invisible to the eye, so alignment requires a sensor test card or a live output indicator. The relay output is rated 0–3 A resistive — inductive loads (contactors, small motors) need external flyback suppression to protect the relay contacts. This is a SPDT relay, so both NO and NC configurations are available without additional wiring.
