What it is and what it does
The E3NXFA512MOMS is a PNP-output fibre amplifier from Omron's E3NX-FA series. It connects to fibre-optic cables to detect objects at switching speeds down to 30 µs. Power range is 10–30 VDC, with a 100 mA load capacity. The 2 m cable termination is fixed – no connector to lose on a machine.

The 30 µs response time handles fast-moving parts on a pick-and-place or labeler – no missed triggers. Light-ON/Dark-ON selection is wired, not programmed, so a field swap needs a screwdriver, not a laptop. The 10 mm width leaves room for other modules on crowded DIN rail.
