Omron E3S-AT61 — Direct Spare for Through-Beam Lines
Omron E3S-AT61 is a through-beam photoelectric sensor rated for 7 m sensing range, NPN output with DO/LO (Light-ON/Dark-ON selectable), and a 500 µs response. The 700 nm red LED is easy to align – the two-turn endless adjuster with indicator gets the beams squared away without crawling behind the panel. If you're topping up the spare cabinet for an older Omron through-beam install, this is the NPN version you want.
Install and Align
Through-beam needs the emitter and receiver aligned on a common axis. The two-turn endless adjuster with indicating LED simplifies setup even when access is tight. At 500 µs response, the sensor handles part detection on conveyors at moderate line speeds without missing targets.
