The E3S-GS3E4 5M: Verify the through-beam emitter/receiver pair alignment: the 30 mm gap is fixed — no adjustment for longer spans. The M18 threaded barrel fits standard bracket mounting; the cable entry is at the rear, not through the body, so plan gland clearance accordingly.

A buyer asked about a functional second-source. The closest peer in the same E3S family is the E3S-AR86, but as noted above, the sensing method and output type differ. If your application strictly requires through-beam, NPN, and a 30 mm gap, the GS3E4 5M is the target; the AR86 is a different species.
Integration — Mounting and Wiring
IP67 rating holds when the cable gland is fully tightened. Ambient temperature range -25°C to 55°C. For outdoor use, add a sun shield if direct UV exposure exceeds routine.
