Fitting this sensor where an E3SCD17OMS was specified? Check dimensions: the E3S-DC is 53.7 mm wide × 30 mm high × 80.4 mm long, while the E3S-C body is 29.5 mm × 40.4 mm × 75 mm. The E3S-C uses infrared LED and NPN/PNP output; this one is RGB and push-pull. Mounting holes and sensing range (13 mm vs 2 m) are different—rewiring and a new bracket are needed.
Sensing distance is 7–13 mm (adjustable). Response time is 150 µs. IP67 rated for washdown environments.
Not without hardware changes. The E3S-DC is larger (53.7 mm wide vs 29.5 mm), uses a different mounting pattern, and the push-pull output requires different wiring than the NPN/PNP of the E3S-C. The sensing range is also much shorter (13 mm vs 2 m). A direct drop-in is not possible.
