Ultracompact Convergent-Reflective Photoelectric Sensor
Omron E3T-SL14M is a convergent-reflective photoelectric sensor in the ultracompact, ultrathin form factor with a side-view design. It outputs a PNP open-collector signal and detects objects at 5 to 15 mm (white paper). The red LED (650 nm) makes alignment visible during setup. Response time is 1 ms max, and the control output is rated 26.4 VDC max, 50 mA max. Protection circuits cover reverse polarity, output short-circuit, and mutual interference.
Not a Drop-In for E3Z Series
If you're cross-referencing from an E3Z-D61K, note the differences: the E3Z is a diffuse-reflective sensor with a 5 to 100 mm range using an infrared LED (860 nm). The E3T-SL14M's convergent-reflective method and shorter, fixed sensing distance change the target positioning and background rejection — not a simple swap without re-engineering the application.
