Diffuse reflective sensor for tight spaces
The Omron E3T-SL22 is a miniature square diffuse reflective photoelectric sensor using a 650 nm red LED. NPN output with a 1 ms typical response. Sensing range 5 to 30 mm on a 50×50 mm white target, and can detect a 0.15 mm diameter object at 10 mm. Hysteresis is 6 mm max. Power supply 12 to 24 VDC ±10%, draws 20 mA max. Protected against reverse polarity and output short circuits.
Installation and wiring notes
Runs on 12–24 VDC with 10% tolerance. The NPN open-collector output is rated for 26.4 VDC max load supply. Response time is consistent at 1 ms for both operate and reset. Ambient temperature range -25 to 55 °C operating; storage -40 to 70 °C. Humidity non-condensing 35–85% operating. Mutual interference prevention is built in. Insulation resistance 20 MΩ min at 500 VDC.
