Integration note
The Omron E3T-SL23M is an active PNP convergent-reflective photoelectric sensor with a 5-30 mm sensing distance and 1 ms response. Its ultracompact, ultrathin body fits into tight voids in semiconductor tooling or pick-and-place stations where background suppression is critical. Convergent-reflective method reads a spot at a fixed offset, ignoring shiny surfaces behind the target — useful for wafer mapping or component presence in confined chutes. Output is open-collector PNP, rated 50 mA max at 26.4 VDC. Residual voltage stays under 1 V at light loads (<10 mA), which keeps downstream PLC inputs clean. Power supply 12-24 VDC, draws 20 mA max. Protection circuits cover reverse polarity, short circuit, and mutual interference — so a miswired cable during a midnight swap won't kill the sensor.
