The E3T-SL24 5M is a convergent reflective sensor with a 650 nm red LED, adjustable sensing distance from 5 mm to 30 mm via the potentiometer. Output is PNP open-collector, dark-on. Supplies on 12–24 V, draws under the listed current — verify your 24 V DC supply can handle the inrush if sharing a daisy chain. Response at 1 ms catches fast-moving parts on a pick-and-place. IP67 rated; cable exits the housing — check gland clearance before panel mounting.
Peer contrast
The listed peer E3S-AR86 is a retroreflective type with a fixed 2 m range using a reflector, selectable light/dark output, and a connector. It will not drop into the same bracket or wiring: this E3T is convergent reflective, cable exit, PNP dark-on only. If your application requires a convergent spot for a small target, stick with this E3T; the E3S-AR86 serves a different detection zone.
