E3T-SR22 5M Miniature Retro-reflective Sensor – Fit & Function

The E3T-SR22 5M is an ultra-compact retro-reflective photoelectric sensor with a built-in amplifier, delivering a 200 mm maximum sensing range. Output is NPN, light-ON (L-ON) – meaning the output transistor sinks current when the receiver sees the reflected red LED beam. Supply voltage is 12 to 24 VDC, so it drops into standard 24 VDC control circuits without an extra regulator. The rectangular plastic body is sized for tight machine spaces – think conveyor edges, pick-and-place stations, or guide-rail detection. Pre-wired with a 5 m cable, so no connector sourcing needed, but plan for cable routing through the panel gland plate before terminating.

Sensing & Operation Detail

Retro-reflective method requires a reflector (not included) mounted opposite the sensor. Maximum range is 200 mm; red LED light source makes alignment visible during setup. NPN output is common for legacy PLC input modules or sinking loads. Wire per light-ON logic; the 5 m cable is fixed and non-replaceable, so verify cable length requirement.
