Retro-reflective without M.S.R. — what that means on the line
The Omron E3T-SR41 2M is a retro-reflective photoelectric sensor from the E3T family, explicitly built without the M.S.R. (mutual interference suppression) function. On a packaging or material-handling line where two sensors face each other across a conveyor, the absence of M.S.R. means the emitter and receiver must be aligned so the beam from one does not trigger the other — or you space them far enough apart that the optical crosstalk stays below the switching threshold. For a single-sensor retro-reflective installation (sensor pointing at a reflector), M.S.R. is irrelevant; the part works fine as a standard opposed-mode sensor with a reflector.
