What the output type means for your circuit
The Omron E3T-ST11R is an NPN-output photoelectric sensor — it sinks current to ground when the beam is made or broken, depending on the light/dark mode. That means it pulls the load low, which is the standard for most PLC input modules that source 24 VDC. If your card expects a PNP (sourcing) signal, this part won't match without a converter.
