Peer comparison with E3S-AR86
The E3S-AR86 is a retroreflective sensor with 2 m range, selectable Light-ON/Dark-ON output, and a connector versus the E3T-ST24 2M's fixed cable. Sensing method difference alone means the two aren't interchangeable without optical path redesign. If your BOM called for the E3S-AR86, the E3T-ST24 2M will not drop in — through-beam requires a separate emitter and receiver alignment while retroreflective uses a single housing with reflector.
