What it is – and what the ratings tell you
The Omron E3TST112M is a 7 mm wide photoelectric proximity sensor from the E3T family, with a red LED emitter and NPN output. It switches loads up to 50 mA at 12–24 VDC, responds in 1 ms, and carries a 1 m sensing distance. The 7 mm × 9.5 mm × 18.5 mm body and pre-wired cable simplify installation in compact machine frames. IP67 covers washdown zones. Light-ON logic means the output turns on when the beam detects the target – confirm your PLC expects a sinking (NPN) input, as this unit is NPN, not PNP.
