Product details

This Omron E3X-A41 is a fiber-optic photoelectric sensor amplifier – it drives separate fiber heads for detection in tight spaces, high-temp zones, or where the sensor body must be remote. PNP switching output, rated 100 mA, from a 10…30 VDC supply. IP66-rated case (heat-resistant ABS with polycarbonate cover) survives washdown environments. Operating temperature -25…55°C. Mode switch on body selects Light-ON, Dark-ON, or SET (sensitivity adjustment). Comes with a 2 m, 3-conductor cable.

Mounts on DIN rail or panel using integral clips. Power and output on the 3-wire cable: brown 10-30 VDC, blue 0 V, black PNP output (open collector, 100 mA max). Use the mode switch to select Light-ON (output ON when light received), Dark-ON (output ON when light blocked), or SET (push-button sensitivity setting). For fiber heads, use the Omron E32 series – direct fit. IP66 rating means the enclosure tolerates hose-down cleaning, but the cable entry should be pointed downward to avoid pooling.

Frequently asked questions

What is the E3X-A41's listed type?

Fiber-Optic Photoelectric Sensor – an amplifier that works with separate fiber-optic cable heads, not a self-contained photoelectric sensor.

Will the E3X-A41 drop into a panel specified around the E3Z-LT81?

No – the E3Z-LT81 is a through-beam photoelectric sensor with emitter and receiver built into two housings; the E3X-A41 is a fiber-optic amplifier requiring separate fiber heads. Wiring, physical mounting, and sensing principle are different.

What is the E3X-A41's model number?

The model number is E3X-A41, as listed on the nameplate and in the specification.
