The 80-500 mm range suits presence/absence detection in packaging, material handling, and conveyor systems where targets are at moderate distances. Compared to the shorter-range E3ZM-LS81H 2M (10-100 mm), the E3Z-B61 covers longer detection distances, so it's the right choice when the target is beyond 100 mm.
