The Omron E3Z-D61K-M3J is a diffuse reflective photoelectric sensor with built-in amplifier, using an infrared LED at 860 nm for detection. The sensing distance spans 5 to 100 mm with a wide beam, designed for reliable detection of opaque or reflective objects in short-range industrial applications.
Connector variant vs. fixed cable
Where the standard E3Z-D61K terminates in a 2 m pre-wired flying lead, the M3J variant carries a 0.3 m pigtail ending in an M8 4-pin connector. That saves space inside the panel and simplifies sensor swaps—unplug and replace without cutting wires. But it also means the sensor won’t plug directly into a panel wired for a 2 m cable; an M8 cordset or intermediate junction is required.
