24VAC/DC supply, three relay outputs, and heater fault detection
The Omron E5CC-CQ3D5M-001 is a 1/16 DIN panel-mount process and temperature controller that runs on 24VAC/DC — a common control-voltage rail that keeps the panel transformer simple. It accepts RTD, thermocouple types B/E/J/K/L/N/PLII/R/S/T/U/W, plus 0–20mA and 0–10VDC process signals, covering the input range from -200°C up to 2300°C. Outputs are a mix: one analog signal (for driving a valve or SCR), three relay contacts, and a voltage pulse for an external SSR. That combination lets it handle both on/off and proportional (PID) control loops without extra modules. Built-in event input and heater fault detection mean the controller can flag a failed heater or accept an external dry-contact trigger — two features that normally require separate monitoring relays.
IP66 front panel and 45mm square cutout
The front panel carries an IP66 rating — dust-tight and protected against hose-down water. That makes it a fit for food-processing, washdown, or outdoor enclosures where a standard IP20 controller would need a sealed cover. Panel cutout is a 45mm square — the standard 1/16 DIN hole. Screw-terminal connections on the back keep wiring straightforward for panel builders. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C, so it lives comfortably inside a non-conditioned cabinet as long as the ambient stays below that ceiling.
