What this controller accepts and drives
The Omron E5CC-CX1AUM-000 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller from the E5CC series that reads RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC analog signals — so it covers nearly any industrial temperature sensor or linear process transmitter you are likely to encounter on a single loop. Its input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouples and RTDs, and 0-20 mA or 0-10 VDC for analog process signals, meaning one part number can handle a cryogenic freezer, a furnace, or a pressure transmitter without swapping hardware. The output stage combines an analog output (for driving a SSR or valve positioner) and a relay output (for alarm or on/off control), giving you both continuous and discrete control from a single 11-pin octal base. Control methods include on/off and proportional (PID), so it can handle simple limit switching or closed-loop tuning for a process loop.
Panel fit and environmental sealing
Mounts into a 45.00 mm x 45.00 mm square panel cutout. The front face carries an IP66 rating (dust-tight and protected against hose-directed water), so it is suitable for washdown areas, food-processing panels, or outdoor cabinets where splashing is a concern. Termination is via a plug-in 11-pin octal socket — the controller slides out for replacement without disturbing field wiring, a real time-saver when a line-down swap is needed.
Display and user interface
The dual-color LCD backlight shows two rows of four characters each — the top row at 0.600" (15.20 mm) for the process value, the bottom at 0.280" (7.10 mm) for setpoint or parameter text. Color changes (e.g., green for normal, red for alarm) give a quick visual status check from across the panel without reading digits.
