The E5CC-CX2ASM-804 accepts RTD and 13 thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) covering a span from -200°C to 2300°C, plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC linear inputs for pressure, flow, or level transmitters. This means one controller model can handle a furnace thermocouple, a cryogenic RTD, and a 4-20mA pressure transmitter without swapping hardware — the input type is set in software during commissioning.
Outputs: analog + relay for dual-loop or cascade control
The output complement is one analog signal (typically 4-20mA or 0-10V for driving an SSR or SCR power controller) plus two relay outputs rated for on/off control of contactors, solenoid valves, or alarm annunciators. This combination suits applications where a modulating output drives the heating element while a relay stages a cooling fan or triggers a high-temperature alarm — all from a single 1/16 DIN panel cutout.
Panel fit and environmental sealing
The controller mounts in a standard 45.00mm x 45.00mm square panel cutout (1/16 DIN) and secures with screw terminals for field wiring — no special crimp tooling or backplane adapter required. The front panel carries an IP66 ingress protection rating, meaning it withstands hose-down cleaning and condensation common in food processing, pharmaceutical, and washdown environments.
Active production — no lifecycle risk for new builds
The E5CC-CX2ASM-804 carries an active lifecycle status from Omron, so it remains available for BOM freeze on new panel designs and as a line-down spare for existing E5CC installations.
