The OMRON E5CC-CX3A5M-004 is a digital temperature controller from the E5CC series. It accepts RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, and W, as well as 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC analog inputs, so it covers virtually any single-loop process measurement you'd encounter in an industrial panel. An event input lets you remotely switch set-point banks or PID sets without opening the enclosure.
Outputs and control
Three relay outputs handle alarm or control functions; the analog output provides a modulating signal. Control method can be set to on/off or proportional PID. The PID loop can be tuned remotely over RS-485.
Panel fit and environmental rating
Mounting requires a square 45.00 mm x 45.00 mm panel cutout. The IP66 rating provides dust tight and water resistant protection, suitable for washdown environments.
RS-485 communication
The RS-485 port speaks both CompoWay/F and Modbus RTU. For a controls integrator, that means you can read PV, set SV, and adjust PID parameters from a PLC or SCADA without reaching the front panel. The dual-color LCD shows the process value in large (15.2 mm) digits with a smaller second row for set point or engineering units.
