The Omron E5CC-CX3D5M-004 is a process and temperature controller from the E5CC series, accepting RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process inputs. That one input stage covers nearly any plant-floor sensor — no signal-conditioning board needed between the thermowell and the PID loop. It runs on 24 VAC/DC, which is the same rail many modern control cabinets already carry for PLCs and remote I/O. No extra transformer required for the controller itself. Two serial rows on the dual-color LCD display four characters each — setpoint and process value visible at the same time. The 0.600" (15.20 mm) main character height is readable from across a panel bay. RS-485 communication ships with both CompoWay/F and Modbus protocol, so it drops into an Omron network natively or into any Modbus RTU master. Output complement: one analog output plus three relay outputs. The PID engine also offers an on/off mode.
The E5CC-CQ3D5M-005 adds a fourth output — voltage pulse for an external SSR — but otherwise shares the same 24 VAC/DC supply, mounting, and protocol. If you need SSR drive, that variant rolls in; if three relays plus analog cover your load, this CX3D handles it.
