24VAC/DC supply — the key panel-fit differentiator
The E5CC-CX3D5M-006: This E5CC variant runs on 24VAC/DC, not the 100-240 VAC common on most E5CC siblings. That makes it the right pick for panels with a 24 V control transformer or DC power supply already on the rail — no separate AC step-down needed. The 24 V supply feeds a dual-color backlit LCD display with two rows of 4 characters each — 0.600" and 0.280" character heights for the main and secondary process values.
Three relay outputs plus analog — wiring the loop
Three relay outputs handle on/off or PID control of heaters, valves, or alarms. The analog output (0-20 mA or 0-10 VDC) sends a retransmitted process value or a remote setpoint to a recorder, drive, or PLC analog input. The event input lets an external dry contact trigger alarm reset, auto/manual mode switch, or run/hold — saves a PLC digital output for a simple panel function. Screw terminals on the rear panel — no special tooling needed for field wiring.
Sensor compatibility and input range
Accepts RTD (Pt100) and 13 thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) covering -200°C to 2300°C, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC linear inputs for pressure, flow, or level transmitters. Control method is selectable between On/Off and full PID with auto-tune — the proportional band, integral, and derivative terms are set via the front panel or software.
Mounts in a standard 45 mm square panel cutout — the same 1/16 DIN footprint as every other E5CC. The IP66 front seal keeps washdown water and dust out of the electronics; the operating range is -10°C to 55°C.
