The Omron E5CC-CX3D5M-5800U is an active-process temperature controller in the E5CC family, running on 24VAC/DC. It combines one analog output and three relay outputs for modulating plus on/off or alarm duties. The analog channel handles 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC directly to a drive, so you can skip an extra converter. PID, on/off, or manual control covers most thermal processes. The starter kit includes the controller, cable, and software, which simplifies the first download. Panel mount into a 45 mm square cutout, secured with the included bracket. The front is IP66—dust-tight and rated for hose-down. Good for food or washdown zones without an extra enclosure. Operating temperature -10°C to 55°C, so keep it out of direct steam or oven radiant heat.
How it differs from the CX3A5M-004
The closest functional sibling is the E5CC-CX3A5M-004. Both have the same analog + three relay output configuration and accept RTD/thermocouple/mA/V inputs. The key difference: this CX3D5M runs on 24VAC/DC; the CX3A5M-004 needs 100-240VAC. The CX3A5M-004 also includes RS-485 (CompoWay/F or Modbus) for serial communication and comes in a Box package with an Event Input feature. The CX3D5M lacks serial comm and the event input—it's a local standalone controller. If your panel already has 24V power and you don't need the network, this saves a separate power supply. But it won't drop into a 120VAC panel without rewiring, and you lose the RS-485 link.
Mounting and wiring
Panel cutout is 45.00 mm square. Screw terminals and starter kit included; IP66 dust tight and water resistant.
