Panel fit and sensor compatibility
The Omron E5CC-QQ3D5M-005 is a 1/16 DIN process and temperature controller that drops into a standard 45.00mm square panel cutout. The IP66-rated front bezel seals against washdown and dust, so it's suitable for food, beverage, or washdown-zone panels where a standard controller would fog or fail. It accepts a wide range of sensor inputs — RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process signals — covering most temperature and linear process loops without needing a signal conditioner.
Outputs and control logic
Three relay outputs handle on/off or time-proportional PID control for heaters, valves, or alarms. Two voltage-pulse outputs drive external SSRs directly — no interposing relay needed for the SSR gate signal. That mix lets one controller manage a heating element (relay or SSR) and still have outputs left for cool, alarm, or event functions. Control method is selectable between on/off and proportional PID. The autotune function sets PID gains during commissioning, which saves time on a multi-zone line.
Supply and wiring
Runs on 24 VAC or 24 VDC — universal supply, no jumper change between AC and DC. Screw terminals are standard; no spring-clamp tool needed for field wiring. The event input (a dedicated digital input on the terminal block) can trigger setpoint changes, run/hold, or alarm reset from a remote dry contact or PLC output, which saves a separate discrete controller for mode switching.
