The E5CC-QX2ABM-800 mounts into a 45.00mm x 45.00mm square panel cutout and seals to IP66 at the front bezel — dust-tight and hose-down resistant, so it lives on a washdown panel face without a separate cover. Termination is spring-clamp, not screw — push a ferrule or solid wire into the cage and it holds without re-torquing. That saves time on a multi-unit panel build and eliminates the cold-junction drift a loose screw terminal can introduce on a thermocouple input.
Input and output flexibility
This controller accepts RTD and twelve thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0–20 mA or 0–10 VDC analog signals — one part number covers the sensor mix on a line without stocking separate units for each probe type. The input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for temperature, or 0–20 mA / 0–10 VDC for process signals, so the same controller handles a cryogenic bath and a furnace thermocouple by changing the sensor configuration. Two relay outputs drive alarms or on/off control, and a voltage-pulse output fires an external SSR for PID-driven heating.
Control loop and display
Control method is selectable between on/off and proportional (PID) — the PID autotune finds the loop gains on first power-up, so a commissioning engineer can walk away after the first heat-soak cycle rather than hand-tuning. The dual-color LCD backlight shows two rows of four characters each: 0.600-inch (15.20 mm) for the process value and 0.280-inch (7.10 mm) for the setpoint — readable from across a machine cell without walking up to the panel.
