The E5CC-QX2ASM-850: Rated IP66—dust tight and water resistant—the controller mounts directly in areas exposed to airborne dust or washdown without a secondary enclosure. In a rolling mill, that means it can live near the descaling header or cooling table where humidity and scale are constant. The screw terminals with cover resist vibration loosening, and the voltage output for SSR eliminates relay contact pitting from the high-cycle demands of temperature control.

Control output and auxiliary signals

Control output 1 is voltage for driving an SSR—no mechanical relay wears out in high-vibration or frequent-cycle applications. Two auxiliary outputs (one common) are available for status indication or driving alarms. The voltage output provides clean, fast switching without contact bounce, holding temperature tight on processes like furnace zone control.

Power supply and input flexibility

The universal input (type M) accepts thermocouples, RTDs, and analog signals. The 100 to 240 VAC supply works across global line voltages without jumper changes.
