Thermocouple, RTD, and analog input coverage
The E5CC-QX2DBM-000 accepts RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, and analog signals 0–20 mA or 0–10 VDC, with an input range spanning -200°C to 2300°C. That covers the common sensor types found on furnace zones, ovens, extruder barrels, and process heaters — one controller model handles J, K, and RTD without a separate input module. The 24 VAC/DC supply means it runs off the same control transformer as the rest of the panel, no separate power supply needed. Spring terminals speed wiring and hold solidly under vibration — no screw torque to check on commissioning.
Outputs and control loop for the hot end
Two relay outputs handle on/off or alarm functions; the voltage pulse output drives an external SSR for the heating element. The PID control method tunes the loop for the process — set it for a slow oil bath or a fast infrared heater, the autotune finds the gains. The dual-line LCD shows process value and setpoint simultaneously, with 15.2 mm and 7.1 mm character heights — readable from a few metres across the panel. Four digits per row are enough for the full -200 to 2300°C span.
Panel fit and environmental seal
The 45.00 mm × 45.00 mm square cutout is the standard 1/16 DIN footprint — drops into the same hole as other E5CC family controllers. The IP66 front-panel seal keeps washdown spray and dust out of the electronics; the gasket seats against the panel face, not the threads.
