Controller type and signal compatibility
The E5CC-RW0DUM-000 accepts RTD, thermocouple (types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process inputs — so it covers both temperature loops and analog transmitter signals from a single unit. Input range spans -200°C to 2300°C depending on sensor type, which covers most industrial furnace, oven, and process vessel applications without needing a range card swap.
Output and control method
Relay output drives contactors, solenoids, or alarm circuits directly — no interposing relay needed for most loads up to the relay contact rating. Control method is selectable between On/Off for simple limit or alarm duty, and Proportional (PID) for closed-loop process regulation with auto-tune.
Mounts in a standard 45mm x 45mm square panel cutout — the same 1/16 DIN footprint used across the E5CC family, so it retrofits into existing holes without re-punching. Termination is via an 11-pin octal plug-in base — the controller slides onto a pre-wired socket, making swap-out faster than screw-terminal models when a unit fails on the line. Supply voltage is 24VAC/DC, a common control transformer output in industrial panels; no separate power supply module needed if 24V is already on the DIN rail.
Environmental rating for washdown areas
IP66 front-panel seal means the controller withstands hose-down cleaning — a critical spare for food-and-beverage or pharmaceutical lines where the panel face sees washdown.
