The E5CC-RX2ABM-006 is a 1/16 DIN process and temperature controller accepting RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC analog inputs — covers most sensor types found on a food-and-beverage or packaging line. Three relay outputs handle control and alarm functions; the dual-color LCD with backlight shows process value and setpoint on separate 4-character rows, readable from across a panel. Spring terminals cut wiring time — strip and push, no screwdriver needed. The IP66 front panel rating means it survives washdown cycles without a secondary cover.
Control methods and input flexibility
Supports On/Off and proportional (PID) control; the PID autotune function gets you close without manual loop tuning, though a seasoned tech will still want to tweak the integral term on a slow thermal process. Input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouples, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC for process signals — one controller covers both temperature and analog process loops. Event input is built in, allowing external switch or PLC signal to trigger setpoint changes or run/hold without menu diving.
