The E5CC-RX2ABM-802 mounts into a standard 45.00 mm square panel cutout — the same footprint as the rest of the E5CC family, so a panel already punched for an E5CC controller accepts this unit without rework. Termination uses spring-clamp terminals, not screw terminals — wire insertion is faster and the clamp holds solidly under vibration, but the stripped length and ferrule size matter more here than with a screw clamp. The IP66 front rating means the bezel and display seal against washdown spray when the panel gasket is properly seated.
Three relay outputs and universal inputs
Three relay outputs give you independent control of heat, cool, and alarm — or you can parallel two for higher current switching. The controller accepts RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC linear inputs, so it covers most process sensors without an external signal conditioner. The input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouples, which handles furnace and kiln applications as well as cryogenic monitoring. The dual-color LCD shows process value and setpoint simultaneously — 15.20 mm and 7.10 mm character heights, four digits per row.
RS-485 Modbus and heater fault detection
RS-485 communications support both CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols — the Modbus RTU mode lets this controller integrate directly into a PLC or SCADA network without a protocol converter. The heater fault detection feature monitors current draw on the load side and flags a broken heater element or SSR short, which saves troubleshooting time on electric heater banks. Control method is selectable between on/off and proportional (PID) with auto-tuning, so the same unit works for simple limit control or closed-loop temperature regulation. Supply voltage is 100–240 VAC, covering most plant power systems without a step-down transformer.
