Panel fit and universal input
The Omron E5CC-RX2ASM-800 is a 1/16 DIN digital temperature controller that drops into a 45.00 mm x 45.00 mm square panel cutout — the standard E5CC footprint. The front bezel carries an IP66 rating, so it handles washdown splashes and dust in food, packaging, or chemical lines without a secondary cover. The input stage accepts RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC analog signals, covering the full range from -200°C to 2300°C. That means one part number covers most sensor types on a line — no need to stock separate TC and RTD controllers.
Three relay outputs and PID loop
Three relay outputs let you assign one as the control output (heat or cool), a second as an alarm, and the third as a second-stage event or retransmission. The control method supports On/Off or full PID with autotune — the PID loop is what you want for tight process control in ovens, extruders, or packaging seal bars. The dual-color LCD backlight shows two rows of four characters each — 15.20 mm and 7.10 mm tall — so the process value and setpoint are readable from across a panel. The 100-240 VAC supply means it runs directly off line voltage without a separate power supply.
