Control loop and output

The E5CC-RX2ASM-863: Runs ON/OFF or 2-PID control with auto-tuning — the PID mode self-configures the P, I, and D terms on the first ramp-up, so you don't need a separate tuning cycle on a new oven or bath. Linear current output drives a 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA loop into a 500 Ω max load, with 10,000-step resolution — this feeds a SCR power controller or a valve positioner directly, no signal conditioner needed.

Power and protection

Omron calls for a T2A, 250 VAC time-lag fuse on the supply — low-breaking capacity type, so the fuseholder and panel wiring need to handle the prospective fault current separately.

Input and environment

Current input impedance is 150 Ω max; voltage input is 1 MΩ min — the voltage input won't load a thermocouple or RTD, but the current input needs the sensor to drive into 150 Ω. Rated for installation up to 2,000 m altitude — above that, the air density drops and the internal creepage distances may not hold the rated isolation.
