Panel-mount controller with universal input
The Omron E5CC-RX3A5M-001 is a 1/16 DIN panel-mount process and temperature controller that accepts RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, and W, covering an input range from -200°C to 2300°C, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC process signals. It runs on a 100-240 VAC supply and delivers four relay outputs, making it a fit for applications that need multiple on/off or alarm contacts from a single controller.
The four relay outputs let you drive a main heat/cool output plus up to three alarm or event functions without adding external relay packs — useful when the panel space is tight and every DIN rail millimeter counts. Built-in heater fault detection monitors the load current and flags a broken heater element or SSR short, so a line-down failure gets caught before the product quality drifts. The IP66-rated front panel withstands washdown splashes and dust ingress — important for food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines where the controller face gets hosed down. The dual-color LCD backlight shows two rows of four characters each (15.2 mm and 7.1 mm high), so the process value and setpoint are readable from across the panel.
No official direct replacement exists because the part is current — the E5CC series is the active generation, not a phased-out line.
