The Omron E5CC-RX3A5M-600 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller that accepts RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus analog inputs 0-20mA or 0-10VDC, covering a span from -200°C up to 2300°C. It runs on 100-240VAC supply and delivers four relay outputs — enough for a heating/cooling pair plus alarm or event signalling without an external relay expander. Control method is selectable between On/Off and proportional-integral-derivative (PID), so it fits simple tank-level hold or tight thermal loop regulation.
Limit function and panel fit
The built-in limit function lets this controller act as a high/low limit alarm with latching output — handy for overtemperature protection in ovens or extruder zones where a separate limit controller would otherwise be needed. Panel cutout is 45mm square, standard for the E5CC family, and the front bezel carries an IP66 rating — dust-tight and resistant to hose-down, so it survives washdown environments in food or pharma lines. Screw-terminal termination keeps wiring straightforward for panel builders; no special crimp tool needed for the field connections.
