Multi-sensor input, four relay outputs
The E5CC-RX3D5M-001 accepts RTD and 14 thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC linear signals — one controller covers most temperature and process loops without swapping modules. Four relay outputs handle multi-stage heating/cooling or alarm annunciation without an external I/O block. The PID algorithm auto-tunes on startup, or you can lock in manual On/Off control for simple bins.
IP66 front, 45 mm cutout, 24 VAC/DC
Panel mount into a standard 45 mm square hole — the same footprint as other 1/16 DIN controllers, so it drops into existing cutouts without rework. The IP66-rated front bezel seals against washdown splashes in food or chemical lines. Runs on 24 VAC or 24 VDC, so it shares the same control transformer as your PLC or sensors — no separate 100–240 V tap needed. Screw terminals keep field wiring simple.
Event input and heater fault detection
The event input lets an external contact (door switch, safety relay, PLC dry contact) force the controller into a pre-set state — useful for interlocking a process halt without a separate safety temperature limit. Heater fault detection monitors current draw on the load and flags a broken heater element or SSR short before the process drifts out of spec. The dual-color LCD backlight changes from green to red on alarm — visible from across the panel.
