Panel fit and what the inputs mean
The Omron E5CC-RX3D5M-003 fits the standard 45mm x 45mm square panel cutout common to 1/16 DIN controllers, so it drops into existing panel holes without rework. It handles RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC process signals. The IP66 front-panel rating means the display and keypad survive washdown splashes and dusty environments without a secondary cover.
Four relays and PID — what you actually get
Four relay outputs let you drive a heat/cool pair plus an alarm and a remote setpoint or event output from one controller — that's one fewer box on the panel door. The control method includes both on/off and full PID with auto-tune, so it works for simple tank heaters and for processes that need tight overshoot control. RS-485 with CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols means it talks to most PLCs and SCADA systems without a protocol converter.
