Sensor input flexibility and control loop
The E5CC-TCQ3D5M-005 accepts RTD and thirteen thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC linear inputs, covering the full range from -200°C to 2300°C. That breadth means one part number stocks spares for everything from cryogenic RTD baths to high-temperature kilns with Type R or S thermocouples. Control method is On/Off or proportional (PID) — the PID loop can be tuned to the process dead time and time constant, and the dual-color LCD backlight shows the process value and setpoint simultaneously (0.600" and 0.280" character heights, 4 digits per row).
Output complement and wiring
Three relay outputs handle alarm or event-driven on/off control; the analog output (4–20 mA or 0–10 V) retransmits the process value or drives a proportional valve; the voltage pulse output fires an external SSR for heater switching. Screw terminals simplify panel wiring — no special crimp tooling needed. An Event Input allows remote selection of a second setpoint or PID bank, useful for recipe changes without opening the panel.
Panel fit and environmental seal
Panel cutout is a standard 45.00 mm square — drops into the same hole as other E5CC-family controllers. The IP66 front seal (dust-tight and protected against hose-directed water) means it can be mounted on a washdown-rated enclosure door without a secondary gasket.
