Sensor flexibility — RTD, ten thermocouple types, and analog process signals
The E5CC-TCX3D5M-000: This controller accepts RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W — covering everything from cryogenic to high-temp furnace loops. The input range spans -200°C to 2300°C, plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC for pressure, flow, or level transmitters. One SKU handles the whole instrument rack. The 24VAC/DC supply voltage means it runs off the same control transformer as the PLC and relays — no separate 100-240VAC tap needed. That simplifies panel wiring and reduces the SKU count on the BOM.
Outputs and control — analog + three relays for dual-loop or cascade
Three relay outputs handle on/off or time-proportional control for heaters, valves, or alarms. The analog output (4-20mA or 0-10V) drives a SCR power controller or a variable-speed pump — giving you continuous modulation, not just bang-bang. Control method is On/Off or PID with auto-tune. The LCD dual-color backlight switches from green to red on alarm — operators see a fault from across the panel without reading the display. Character heights are 0.600" (15.20mm) for the main PV and 0.280" (7.10mm) for the SV, both readable at 3 meters.
Panel fit and sealing — IP66 front, 45mm square cutout
The IP66-rated front bezel is dust-tight and withstands hose-down cleaning — food, beverage, and pharmaceutical washdown zones are the natural home for this controller. The panel cutout is a standard 45mm x 45mm square (1/16 DIN), so it drops into existing punch patterns without adapter plates. Screw-terminal connections on the rear — no special crimp tool or plug-in base required. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C, covering most indoor panel environments.
