Universal input, three-output control for process loops
The Omron E5CC-TQX3D5M-001 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller that accepts RTD, thermocouple types B/E/J/K/L/N/PLII/R/S/T/U/W, plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC analog signals — so one part number covers the sensor types you'd normally stock separately for different zones. It drives up to three relay outputs plus a voltage pulse for an external SSR, giving you independent control of a heating element, a cooling fan or valve, and an alarm or event output without adding a slave module.
Heater fault detection and event input for real-process monitoring
Built-in heater fault detection monitors the current draw of the load and flags a broken heater or SSR short before the process drifts — useful on plastic injection, packaging seal bars, or any resistive heating loop where an undetected open element scrapes product. The event input lets an external dry contact or PLC digital output switch between two sets of PID parameters or force the controller into a standby state, so you can change setpoint profiles without touching the front panel. Dual-color LCD with 0.600" and 0.280" character heights shows process value and setpoint simultaneously — the large upper digits are readable from across a machine cell.
IP66 front panel and 45 mm square cutout
Rated IP66 on the front face, so it withstands washdown spray and dust in food, beverage, or chemical processing environments — the seal is at the panel gasket, not the housing threads. Fits a standard 45 mm × 45 mm square panel cutout with screw-terminal connections on the rear — no special tooling or DIN-rail adapter needed for panel integration.
