Panel fit and control capability
The Omron E5CC-TRX3A5M-000 is a 1/16 DIN panel-mount process and temperature controller that accepts a broad range of sensor inputs — RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC analog signals — covering everything from cryogenic -200°C up to 2300°C furnace work. Four dedicated relay outputs give you independent control, alarm, or event channels without needing external interposing relays for most loads. The dual-color LCD backlight shows two rows of four characters each, letting you read process value and setpoint simultaneously. Control method is selectable between on/off and full PID with auto-tuning — the PID loop handles most thermal processes (ovens, extruders, packaging seal bars) without an external programmer.
The IP66-rated front panel means the controller face withstands washdown and splash — suitable for food-processing or beverage lines where a standard IP54 front would fail. The screw-terminal rear connection is field-serviceable but takes up more depth than a spring-clamp variant. Universal AC supply (100-240 VAC) eliminates the need to stock separate 110V and 220V SKUs. The 45x45 mm square cutout is the standard 1/16 DIN footprint, so it retrofits directly into existing panel holes from Omron E5CS or similar 1/16 DIN controllers.
