Panel fit and output configuration
The Omron E5CC-TRX3D5M-000 is a panel-mount temperature controller from the E5CC-T series, fitting a standard 45.00mm x 45.00mm square cutout. It carries four relay outputs — that's one more than the three-relay siblings in the same family, giving you an extra discrete control or alarm channel without adding a second controller. The relay outputs handle on/off or PID-driven switching for heaters, coolers, or solenoid valves. The fourth relay is typically mapped to an alarm or event output in the configuration menu.
Input flexibility and supply voltage
The input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouple and RTD types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) and also accepts 0–20mA or 0–10VDC linear signals, so it works with both temperature sensors and process transmitters. The 24VAC/DC supply is common in control panels — no separate 240VAC tap needed. The LCD display shows dual-color characters with backlight, four digits per row, two rows. Character heights are 0.600" for the main row and 0.280" for the secondary row, readable from a few metres across a machine cell.
Production status and sourcing
The IP66-rated front panel withstands washdown and dust ingress, making it suitable for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical lines where the controller face is exposed to cleaning chemicals.
