Four relay outputs, one panel cutout
The Omron E5CC-TRX3D5M-005 is a process and temperature controller with four relay outputs — enough to drive a heating element, a cooling contactor, an alarm, and a status lamp directly without an interposing relay bank. It accepts inputs from RTDs, thermocouples (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), and linear signals (0–20 mA, 0–10 VDC) covering the range -200°C to 2300°C, so it handles most oven, kiln, or process line sensors in one unit. The 24 VAC/DC supply voltage matches the common control transformer or DC bus in a panel — no need to run a separate 100–240 V feed. The screw terminals accept field wiring directly, and the IP66-rated front bezel shrugs off washdown splashes in food or packaging lines.
What the relay count means for your panel
With four relay outputs, this variant gives you one more switched circuit than the three-relay siblings (E5CC-TCQ3D5M-006 and E5CC-TCX3D5M-000). That extra relay can serve as a dedicated alarm output or a second-stage cooling call without adding an external relay module — relevant if the panel is tight on DIN rail space and you want the controller to carry the load. The control methods include On/Off and proportional (PID), so you can tune it for simple bang-bang heat control or closed-loop PID for processes that need tight regulation. The event input allows an external dry contact or PLC signal to trigger a setpoint change or hold — useful for recipe swaps or interlock conditions.
Active production, quoted to order
The 45.00 mm square panel cutout is the standard 1/16 DIN size, so it drops into existing punch-outs without adapter plates. The dual-color LCD backlight shows four characters per row in two rows — 0.600-inch and 0.280-inch character heights — letting you read process value and setpoint at a glance across the plant floor.
