Panel-mount PID with universal input
The Omron E5CCQX3A5M003OMI is a 48x48 mm panel-mount temperature controller from the ESCC series, accepting thermocouple, RTD, and analogue inputs (0/4-20 mA, 0/1-5/10 V) for flexible loop configuration. Control is 2-PID or ON/OFF with a 50 ms cycle time — fast enough for thermal processes where overshoot matters, like injection mold barrel zones or reflow preheat stages. The voltage output drives an external SSR or solid-state contactor; the relay output (3 A at 250 VAC) handles alarm or event loads separately.
IP66 front and HB/HS alarm
Front panel is rated IP66 — washdown-safe for food processing or wet-area panels; the rear terminals are IP20, so keep the enclosure sealed around the cutout. Built-in HB (heater burnout) and HS (heater short) alarm monitors the load current via an external CT — catches a failed heater leg or a shorted SSR before the process drifts out of spec. Operating range is 100-240 VAC, covering most plant voltages without a transformer tap change.
